Outdoor Dining and Retail
Per the Governor's Executive Order 7MM (click here for Order), the City of Meriden has been enabled to issue temporary Dining and Retail permits during the declared State of Emergency.
Please fill out the permit below and submit it to the Planning Department if you wish to establish a temporary outdoor area.

CITY OF MERIDEN PLAN OF CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT
The Planning Division focuses on the overall growth and development of the City. One of its main functions is to develop and oversee the implementation of strategies to address the physical needs of the community. The Planning Division is responsible for formulating and updating the City’s Plan of Conservation and Development every ten years. The division is also involved in reviewing and approving all subdivisions and site plans, enforcing the land use regulations (zoning, subdivision and wetland, etc.) and is responsible for all environmental and urban design activities.
Staff handles the administration and enforcement responsibilities for the Planning Commission, Design Review Board, Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission, Conservation Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Economic Development Office and the Economic Development, Housing and Zoning Committee of the City Council.
