APPLY: April 1 deadline for Meriden residents, who are high school seniors, to apply for Francis T. Maloney Scholarship 

In honor of former Meriden Mayor, Congressman and U.S. Senator Francis T. Maloney, a scholarship, in his name, was created to encourage young men and women, of outstanding ability, to emulate his character as an inspiration and a model citizen.

The scholarship, for which applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by April 1, will be awarded in yearly installments of $6,000, not to exceed four yearly payments, to an individual, who is choosing to attend a degree granting college or technical school.

ELIGIBILITY: You must be a high school senior, who has been a Meriden resident for at least the past four years. You DO NOT have to attend a Meriden high school, however, to be eligible.
