Application Process

Interested applicants begin by filling out an application. Then, there will be a background check, in person interview and a medical exam. 

Quota and Obligations - What you can expect as a volunteer for Engine 6?

You must respond to 15 % of calls and participate in a minimum of two drills per month. There are in house duty crews and monthly squad assignments. You must attend eight monthly meetings per year and assist with fund raising and the Fire Education Duty Assignments. 

 Training and Certifications

Below is the minimum training needed to ride medical apparatus:

• CPR - AED
• Blood borne pathogens
• Haz-Mat Awareness

 Training needed to ride engine and medical apparatus

• Firefighter I within 12 months
• EMR / EMT with in first 18 months
