The City of Meriden recently identified an attempted interruption of our internet services. Upon detection, the IT department immediately responded to prevent interruptions and any other cyber security concerns. A comprehensive review to determine the scope and nature of the incident is being conducted before the IT department returns the internet services.
This will not affect any emergency services provided to the city. However, non-essential services may be limited or altered until the internet is restored.
The regularly scheduled City Council meeting, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, has been canceled due to the interruption of our internet services.
We appreciate city staff and community’s patience as we diligently work to restore full system functionality, in a safe and secure manner.
