JOIN US FOR A DOWNTOWN MERIDEN AUDIT!
The City of Meriden will be hosting a Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC) Walk Audit of downtown Meriden with Pro-Homes CT (formerly called DesegregateCT) on Saturday, November 7 at 2pm (starting location and walking route TBD).
Pro-Homes CT has been studying TOC's in Connecticut for years, and they've identified Meriden as a "mid-term" TOC. This means, based on current conditions and available data, they believe "new investments and land use changes could unlock TOC potential" in Meriden within the next 5-10 years. "TOC potential" includes all measures of success - walkability, housing, economic development, etc.
The purpose of the walk audit is to help us work toward that goal.
