The Meriden Department of Public Works will begin curbside collection of Christmas trees on Monday, January 8, 2018 for residents living east of the railroad tracks. The eastside collection will last through Friday, January 19. Beginning Monday, January 22, the collection will begin for residents living west of the railroad tracks. The westside collection will last through Friday, February 2. Kindly remove all decorations and lights from the tree and please do not place the tree in a plastic bag. We cannot accept trees in plastic bags or with decorations and lights.
Residents may bring their trees to the Transfer Station located on Evansville Ave during normal business hours. The hours are: Monday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM and the first and third Saturday from 7:30 AM to Noon. There is no charge for the disposal of Christmas trees. Kindly remove all decorations and lights from the tree and we cannot accept trees in plastic bags.
