Brownfields Grant Application - Notice of Application and Public Meeting/Public Comment Solicitation on FY24 Brownfield Cleanup Grant Application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
The purpose of this notice is to inform the public and other interested parties about the availability of a draft Cleanup Grant Application and a draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives related to proposed environmental cleanup activities at 51-53 South Colony Street, Meriden CT.
Copies of relevant documents associated with the grant application are available for review in person at the Office of Economic and Community Development at City Hall, located at 142 East Main Street, Meriden CT, 06450. The documents may also be viewed online on the “Announcements” section on the City’s main
website landing page at www.meridenct.gov.
A virtual public meeting will be held on November 6, 2023 at 5:30 PM to discuss the grant application and the proposed cleanup activities. The meeting can be attended by logging in at the link below. This link is also posted on the “Announcements” section on the City’s website.

Public comment and questions will be taken during the public meeting, or can be provided at any time prior to the submission of the application on November 13, 2023 by email to jfeest@meridenct.gov or by calling the office of Economic and Community Development at (203) 630-4152.
All target area residents and stakeholders, including community members with limited English proficiency or disabilities, are encouraged to provide feedback on the application by contacting the City.
